Nurture Early Childhood Education Centre
Nurture Early Childhood Education Centre Ltd. is a licensed Group <36 Month child care centre offering 20 childcare spots for children aged 0-3 in Victoria West.
Nurture provides space and teaching that will allow children to orient their own activities and play under the guidance and supervision of caring early childhood educators, and also facilitates learning through our unique program model. We encourage children to experience and appreciate the outdoors and we believe that a deep connection to nature, the arts and our global and local community are important aspects in every child’s development.
Our daily schedule is centred around experiential and play-based approaches to learning, with daily outdoor adventures where we play in sand, run through the grass, and wear out our muddy buddies! With a philosophy incorporating international education, children further engage in creativity through a global art, music and language program.
We acknowledge that we are situated on the traditional lands of the Xwsepsum (Esquimalt) and Lkwungen (Songhees) nations and strive to build positive relationships through a family supported model of care.
We are an inclusive space and encourage families from all backgrounds to join our wait list.

The concept of diversity encompasses acceptance and respect. It means understanding that each individual is unique, and recognizing our individual differences. These can be along the dimensions of ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, or other ideologies. It is the exploration of these differences in a safe, positive, and nurturing environment. It is about understanding each other and moving beyond simple tolerance to embracing and celebrating the rich dimensions of diversity contained within each individual.
